We are very pleased to announce that in June 2020, we are expecting a new gorilla birth. Gracie (aged 15) and Bombo (aged 17) have been getting on very well since Christmas and we discovered that Gracie is pregnant. We haven’t yet determined the gender of the baby but every gorilla birth is a victory for Gorilla conservation. We will keep everyone posted about this exiting fact. We would also like to thank everyone for the excellent support we’ve received and all the donations, as caring for all our gorillas is very expensive!
We look forward to everyone coming back after the lockdow, but obviously we have to protect our gorillas who may be susceptible to COVID-19.
Gorillas are sadly classed as endangered so this birth is really something to celebrate. The infant is also the great-grandson of Old Bob, who aged 58 is our oldest gorill and possibly the oldest male gorilla in the world!
Please consider supporting us by donating a small amount to help cover the cost of caring for gorilla, you can contact us with the number: 07855109106. If you would like to arrange an interview with Mr Treacy or even meet Old Bob (post-lockdown) then don’t hesitate to contact us!
